Charles “Doug” Santos was born on April 5, 1951, in Turlock and died April 24, 2010, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
He graduated from Turlock High School in 1970. He was an owner/operator truck driver for 30 years and previously owned Doug Santos and Sons Septic Service. He enjoyed drag racing, coin collecting and spending time with his four granddaughters.
He is survived by wife of 34 years, Kathy Santos of Delhi; sons, Jeremy Santos and his wife, Nelia, of Livingston, and Michael “Mike” Santos of Oakland; mother, Charlene Santos of Turlock; brothers, Dennis Santos of Turlock, Daniel Santos of Lodi and Bob Santos of Turlock; sisters, Cheryl Walter of Moab, Utah and Lisa Brown of Turlock; and four granddaughters, Vanessa Santos, Lesley Santos, Mya Santos and Haley Santos.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Santos in 1992.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 29 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock. It will be officiated by Sister Christina Doona. Burial will be private.
