Clifton Wise, our father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away Saturday, March 6, in his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Clifton attended Turlock High School and held multiple sport records; he graduated in 1962. He enjoyed four-wheel driving and trips to Pismo, and was a very devoted 49ers fan. He also loved to sing Willie Nelson songs. He was a very giving person, and loved to fish, crab and drink Bud Light. He co-owned Disney and Wise Auto Machine Shop with Mike Disney, retiring in 2003. He was known throughout the Valley as a master mechanic. He was a member of E. Clampus Vitus Chapter 58 since October 1986.
On Nov. 12, 1981, he married the love of his life Georgie Ann Wise and had three children Melannie Wise-Babb of Turlock, Betty Hulbert of Turlock and Bobby Perry of Petaluma, Calif.
He is survived by his children; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren, who he enjoyed spending time with. He is also survived by his sister, Dorthy Wise; and brother, John Prehm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Ann Wise; parents, Mable and Vern Prehm; and siblings, Billy Prehm and Janice Hopbrich.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 20 at Allen Mortuary. A potluck reception will follow the service at the Turlock V.F.W. Hall. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
