Daisy Aleman Van Assen, 86, born February 26, 1926 in Managua, Nicaragua and passed away July 10, 2012 in McKinney, Texas.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Garrit Van Assen; son, Kenneth Van Assen; and her parents, Antonio and Lenora Uribe Aleman.

She is survived by two sons, Bob Van Assen and Paul Van Assen and his wife, Rebecca; three daughters, Anna Monges and her husband, Carlos, Eleanor Beebe and her husband, Rick and Linda Mack and her husband, Alan; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jose Aleman and his wife, Delia and Alex Aleman; sister, Jenny Beltran; sister in-law, Lucy Aleman; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service was held on July 12, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Sachse, Texas. Reverend Andrew Semler officiated.
