Dorothy Wright was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend. She died peacefully in Modesto after an extended illness on Friday, December 29, 2017. 

Born in Turlock, she called Modesto her home for more than 60 years. She was a co-owner in Coates & Wright Floor Coverings in Modesto for 20 years. Dorothy was a hard worker who also enjoyed travelling, Country & Hawaiian music, and working in her yard. She especially loved Christmas and get-togethers with family and friends. 

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Susan Spielman and her husband, Philip of Folsom; and her two sisters, Pauline Seward of Hilmar and Carol Holmquist of Citrus Heights.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Wright and her son, Mark Wright.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
