Dorothy Clark passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 4, following a short illness. She was born July 13, 1922, in Chicago, to Samuel and Nanjon Yohannan. After graduating from high school, Dorothy eventually relocated to San Francisco, in 1944.
After a short time as a telephone operator, Dorothy began working at American Trust Bank (later "Wells Fargo Bank") until retiring in 1983 as Savings Bank Director. She married Glenn Clark in 1959, and in 1987, Dorothy and Glenn moved to Turlock to enjoy being close to many relatives and friends. In 1999 Glenn passed away.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling with friends, playing "Shanghai", visiting with long-time friends and family. In earlier years, she was proud of their dog,"Sonny", a champion Bouvier, who gave her and Glenn much pleasure.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Alice "Exo" Mitchell, and Mary Parokian; brothers John Yohannan and David Yohannan. She is survived by sisters Julie (Brad) Sleeper of Turlock, and Lorraine (Ken) Harold of Pleasant Hill, CA, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorothy's family especially wishes to thank her Turlock Caregiver, Dora and the staff at Aegis of Pleasant Hill, for the loving care and patience they provided Dorothy.
A memorial service will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., on Sat. Mar. 17, 2012 at 11:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Dorothy's name to your favorite charity.
