Edwin Sherman Mayfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28th at his home in Denair, CA. Edwin was 74 years old. 

Edwin was born on September 22, 1943 to Luther Dow Mayfield and Rosa Bernice Frost in Portales, New Mexico. After graduating high school, he moved out to California, where he settled in Turlock. 

After working as a forklift operator for a paper company for over 30 years, he finally retired. 

Throughout his life, his favorite pastimes included hunting and fishing.  

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Rosa Mayfield; his brother, Ronnie Mayfield; and his sister, Jeanette Frazier. He is survived by his four sons, Michael, Russell (Audrey), Randall and Shawn Mayfield; along with six grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held at 9 a.m., followed by the Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 6th at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. The interment will immediately follow the service at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
