Frances Mae Haarstad went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Brandel Manor, Turlock CA. Frances (known as “Mickey Fran” to many) was born in Turlock, California on February 10, 1924 and was a lifelong resident of Hughson and Turlock.

She was a charter member of Monte Vista Chapel, where she was involved in choir and orchestra for many years. She was also an avid Mickey Mouse collector and enjoyed going to Disneyland as often as possible.

She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Mabel Lundell, husband Henry, and daughter Judy Pappas. She is survived by daughter Bonnie, brothers Kenneth and Melvin (Esther) Lundell, son-in-law Jeffrey (Clara) Pappas, grandchildren Alissa Gilbertson, Travis and Ryan Pappas, and great grandson Nathaniel Gilbertson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing will be from 4-7 pm on October 3rd at Turlock Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life service will be on October 4th at 11am at Turlock Funeral Home, with a reception to follow at Monte Vista Chapel. Since “Mickey Fran” was also a long time Mickey Mouse fan, please consider wearing some type of Mickey Mouse attire to the service.
