Fredrik (Fred) Christen Ravnan is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fred spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all he came in contact with up to the last few days before he went to Heaven.  Born in Bergen Norway, Fred and his family traveled to the United States when he was 8 years old.  Fred joined the military after high school and worked his way up to Sargent in the Army.

Fred was the ultimate outside salesman for Valley Distributors for over 30 years.  His customers meant the world to him and he would always go the extra mile. In his spare time Fred loved to hang out at Pacific Grove and he loved the beach.  He also enjoyed working with the church youth and Fred was instrumental in starting his church bus ministry. Most of all Fred loved his family and he will be deeply missed. Fred is survived by his precious wife Kathy; amazing children Paula (Rod) Smith, Marcus (Susan) Ravnan; much loved grandchild Ethan;  cherished siblings Marcus Ravnan of Centerville, Georgia, Goody Ruhl of Turlock, CA, Kari Wilson of San Antonio, Texas and Ragnhild A. (Astrid) Nary of Modesto, CA; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.  Fred is preceded in death by his father and mother Reverend Edwin and Edna Ravnan; brothers Edwin Ravnan and Per Ravnan; sisters Hannah Mosand and Elizabeth Hamlow. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Connecting Point Church of the Nazarene in Denair.  Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA.  Please share your memories at www.AllenMortuary.com.
