Johnny Seratte, 82, of Delhi, passed away on Tuesday at Emanuel Medical Center. Johnny was born in Prairie Grove, AR to John and Bertha Seratte in 1928. In 1948, he joined the Navy and had served until 1950. Johnny lived most of his adult life in the Bay Area. In 1998, he and his wife settled in Delhi. He attended Valley Hope Community Church in Turlock and enjoyed fishing, camping and RVing. Family was his life.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Seratte; children, Mary Seratte of Lakeview, Donald Seratte of Union City and Walter Groff of Rocklin; sisters, Julia Alvis of Madera and Elva Holub of Lincolnville, Kansas; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by children, Steven Seratte and Elizabeth McCulloch.

Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13 at Valley Hope Community Church. A military burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
