Lavina A. Brinsfield, 85, entered into rest on June 29, 2017 in Manteca, Ca. She was born June 16, 1932. in Turlock, Ca. In heaven, she joins her, husband of 65 years; Larry Brinsfield, and her two granddaughters Tara and Melissa Green.

Mrs. Brinsfield is survived by her children; Stephanie Graham (Danny) , Randal Brinsfield (Somi), and Cynthia Green (Gary). She was blessed by five grandchildren; Randall Redmond, Jamie Boatwright, Meghan Brinsfield (Ken), Lauren Stratford (Steven) and Cory Green as well as, numerous great-grandchildren. In addition, Lavina is survived by her two sisters Geraldine Pinney (George Markle) and Evelyn Sprague.

Lavina was a Manteca resident for three years previously of the Twain Harte area. She grew up in Turlock where she graduated from Turlock High School in 1950. She was a life time member of Beta Sigma Phi, German Club member, and a past member of the Lutheran Church of Twain Harte. Following her high school graduation in 1951 Lavina married the love of her life Larry. A true military family, Larry and Lavina, called Japan, San Diego and Germany home where they raised their three children in many different cultures. Throughout retirement Lavina and her husband enjoyed traveling all over the central valley selling their handmade wooden crafts. Lavina was a classy lady who enjoyed arranging flowers, painting, watching game shows and traveling the world with her husband. Her grandchildren were first and foremost; the apple of her eye, she was the ear that listen, the voice of advice and the hug that was unconditional. Lavina will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her devotion to family and her loving heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

P.L. Son is honored to be serving the Brinsfield family. A memorial will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca.
