Lewis Wayne Drake of Stevinson CA, passed away suddenly this week.  A man who loved teaching, music and the arts, Lewis will be remembered as someone who loved to be around people and talk about old times especially at Stevinson Bar & Grill.

Lewis was born to Lewis (Pudge) and Betty Drake in the winter of 1939.  An only child, Lewis became a teacher/principal for 33 years most notably at Santa Nella Romero School.  He taught music lessons and worked at Hendrickson’s music on weekends and summers.  Lewis was a member of the Merced Arts Council and many other clubs.  

Lewis is survived by many beloved cousins.  Lewis was preceded in death by his parents.  

A Memorial Mass with Rosary will be held at 10:30 am Tues. Nov. 22, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stevinson.  Burial will follow immediately at Sunnyside Cemetery.  Please share your memories at www.AllenMortuary.com.
