Marjorie ( Marge) passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 23. 2022.  She was 95 years old.

She was born in Los Angeles California.  She was the 4th child and the 2nd daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Sidebotham.

Her father worked as a carpenter in Yosemite helping build the Ahwahne Hotel.  She remembers driving up to visit her father on weekends.  Later she attended Livingston high school where she met her high school sweetheart Frank McDonough.  There were married right before his naval deployment and she often talked about how Frank had to run down the dock, almost missing his deployment.  Her and Frank raise turkeys and 6 children on their soon to be forever home in Stevinson.  Before building their new home, an all important in ground pool was built for the kids.

She kept busy with her kids in 4-H, FFA, PTA , horses, and she also was as a den leader for her boys in Cub Scouts. She loved being outdoors and had raised game and domestic bird for a hobby.  She always had flowers growing and a vegetable garden that even the great grand children help with and was able to eat straight from the garden.  So much was learned from her.  In the winter she sewed and made beautiful quilts for all the family.  She always had time for family.

She married Kenneth Barker in 1974 after the death of Frank in 1970. She worked in Coey’s Shoes in Turlock with Ken. They bowled and golfed and soon Marge became an avid golfer.  She became a member of the Turlock Country Club.

Marge was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank McDonough and Kenneth Barker, parents Charles and Marjorie Sidebotham, son Jimmy, daughter Sharon, brothers Chuck, John, and Sid, and sister Virginia. She was the last surviving sibling,

She is survived by her children Larry (Lori), Jerry (Anne), Danny (Valerie) and Douglas (Teri). She had 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
