Mary Lundstrom, 83, of Hilmar, passed away at her home after an extended illness. Mary was born in Butte MT to Joseph and Mary Riggins. She attended schools in Butte through High School graduation and got her college degree in Dillon MT in preparation for 30 years of teaching in public schools. She began her teaching in Butte and continued for many years at Stevinson CA. She married George Lundstrom and they moved to Hilmar CA in 1961. George was a counselor at Hilmar High School. Mary enjoyed gardening and traveling as well as her dogs. Her greatest love was for her family. She was dearly loved and will be fondly remembered. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her son Craig Lundstrom, and by her husband George Lundstrom in 2007.
She is survived by her two daughters Cindy Sloan and Kim Lundstrom, both of Hilmar, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Hilmar Cemetery on Saturday, July 27th at 10am. Memorial Contributions are suggested for Hospice of Emanuel, 1850 Colorado Ave, Turlock, CA 95382.
