Mary Ellen Battista, 89, passed away on Jan. 5, 2011.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church; ambassador for the Secure Horizons Insurance for years; and managed the brown bag and commodities food program give away with her friends in Turlock for 20 years.  Mary Ellen was an avid card player with friends and member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Mary Ellen also loved to go shopping with her son and daughter-in-law, Connie Battista.

Mary Ellen is survived by her son, M. Dwight Battista; grandsons, Dwight Battista, Sam Battista and Michael Edward Battista; and great grandchildren, Coral, Sam and Mira Battista.
