May Mikkelsen passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10th at her home in Turlock, CA. She just celebrated her 100th birthday. 

May was born in Glasgow, MT on November 7, 1918 to Earl and Cari Moore. Raised in Glasgow, she graduated from Glasgow High School. After moving to Burbank, CA, May met the love of her life, Glen Mikkelsen. They were married on December 4, 1942. 

May worked for the Lockhead Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of the Vega Aircraft Corporation, during WWII. After the war, she became self-employed, working with Glen in the poultry business, before working as a debt collector before her retirement. In her spare time, May loved bowling and was an avid traveler. A woman of faith, she was a frequent member of the First United Methodist Church. 

May was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her son, James; and her daughter, Janet. She is survived by her son, Carl (Marlene) Mikkelsen; grandsons, Robert and Andrew Mikkelsen; granddaughter, Allison (Everaldo) Alvarez; and one great-grandson, Noah Alvarez. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA 95380.
