Owen Joseph Stauber, 82, of Turlock, passed away Tuesday, June 14 at Emanuel Medical Center.

He was born November 1928 in Nebraska to the late Irwin and Leona Stauber. He came to Hughson, Calif. at the age of 16 and married his wife Marilyn in 1950. He was a farmer for 65 years and lived in the Turlock area for the last 60 years. He belonged to the Church of Christ, served on the Gratton School board, and enjoyed fishing, traveling and gardening.

He is survived by his sons, David Stauber of Turlock and Randy Stauber of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; brothers, Richard and Edwin; and sister, Adella Beck.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 19 at Allen Mortuary. A private graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park. Allen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
