Pennie Ralston Hearn
c20107 1

Pennie was born on October 21, 1954 in Grangeville, Idaho to Everett and Emily (Billie) Ralston. She was one of six children. She fought a brave battle against cancer and went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was 59 years old.

She was considered the rock of the family. Holidays at her house were a blessing and something we all looked forward to. She especially enjoyed baking with her grandchildren. The manner in which she embraced life and lived it to the full was truly inspirational.

She worked at Delhi Schools for many years and then at Mervyn’s for many more. She had a deep passion for serving others. This was evident by her commitment to regularly volunteer at her church. She was most well-known for sending cards, giving hugs not handshakes and of course being blessed. She was loved by all near and far.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Ken Hearn, father, Everett Ralston, her sister, Kathy Isbell, and nephew, Chad Goodwin. She is survived by her mother, Emily (Billie) Ralston, her son, Tim Hearn, Daughter, Kimberlie Balllard. Sisters: Jeannie O’Farrell, Joannie Davis, Billie (Evelyn) Taberna. Brother: Bud (Everett) Ralston. Grandchildren: Andrew, Timothy and Audrey Hearn, McKenlie and Kenidee Ballard, as well as one great-granddaughter Katalenah Hearn. There were numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family that were dear to her heart.

A celebration of life honoring Pennie will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at New life Christian Center.  The family requests that cards be sent to: 5501 Cypress Creek Way Salida, Ca  95368.
