Richard “Dick” Douglas Paulson

Richard “Dick” Douglas Paulson, 82 of Turlock, CA. passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family, including his beloved sister, Judy Lipstein (Michael) by his side.  He was born to Edward and Jackie Paulson in LA County.  In 1958 Dick graduated from Turlock High School and entered the Air Force.  He married Margaret Peterposten in 1960 and had 5 children, MaryLiz Pugh (Rod), Marcia Jennings (Dennis), Dave Paulson (Judy), Monica Skarpnes (Erik) and Daniel Paulson.  He has 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  In 1979, he retired as a USAF Major after 21 years and returned to Turlock where he began his 20-year career at Foster Farms.  He enjoyed bowling, playing pickle ball, Sons in Retirement (SIRS) and participating in lay ministries at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  His faith and family meant everything, and he took great pride in celebrating his children’s activities.  He was incredibly proud of each of his children and was the happiest at family celebrations.  A rosary and vigil will be held at 7:00 pm at Allen’s Mortuary, December 19th and the funeral will be held at noon at Sacred Heart Church, December 20th. A military honors presentation will be held at Turlock Memorial Park at 11:00 am, preceding the funeral services. Please share your memories and condolences
