Age 75 of Turlock passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her residence under the care of Gentiva Hospice.  Sammye was born in Los Angeles, California to Samuel and Delcia McCoy.  The family later moved to the Central Valley settling in Madera where Sammye graduated from Madera Union High School with the Class of 1959.  She later relocated to Stanislaus County where she has made her home in Turlock for 43 years.  Sammye had a career which spanned 31 years at CSU Stanislaus where she retired as an Evaluator.  She was a member of First Christian Church of Turlock.

In addition to her parents, Sammye was preceded in death by a son Robert Ragghianti and a brother Michael McCoy.  

She is survived by her daughter, Beth Hysell of Turlock and is the beloved grandmother of Janene, Katey, and Mandi and the great grandmother of Logan.  Also surviving is her nephew Sam McCoy and his wife Annette, and niece Kerith Lisi and her husband Michael and their children.

A Celebration of life will be held at, Allen Mortuary, 247 North Broadway, Turlock, California 95380, on November 5, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.  Private Interment will be at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
