Thomas Francis Locke, passed away on November 28, 2016. He will always be remembered for his lifelong dedication and love for his family. Many important decisions throughout his life were based on how it would affect his immediate family as well as those family members that would be added throughout future years.
Tom leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Marylou; his sons and daughters-in-laws: Tom and Gay Locke, Kevin and Laurette Locke; his grandchildren; Stephanie & Aaron Hackler, Lauralee & Vic Cunha, Lindsay & Cameron (Sparks) Locke, Sean & Angelica Locke, Michael & Jenna Locke; and great-grandchildren; Brody Hackler, Colt, Olivia, Madison Cunha and Harrison Locke.
Born and raised in San Francisco, the son of Elmer and Theresa Locke, he graduated from Mission High School where he met his wife, Marylou. They were married at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in San Francisco. In 1967 he moved with his wife and two sons to Hilmar to own and operate a grocery store. He was an entrepreneur, especially in the food industry as an owner/distributor, as well as an almond rancher. Tom was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, past member of Turlock Moose Lodge and Modesto Elks.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 5, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA. A Rosary/Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tue., Dec. 6, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar, CA.
