Velma Frances (Martin) Nunes passed away Saturday morning in Modesto. She was 86

Velma was born to John and Frances Martin in Newman, CA. She met Joe L. Nunes. They married and moved to Los Banos where they had their four children and operated the family dairy. When Joe retired in 1992, they moved to San Luis Obispo where they lived for more than 20 years. 

Velma was preceded in death by her parents John and Frances Martin, brother: Rico Martin, sister in law: Virginia Martin, sister: Elsie Oliveria, brother in law: Clarence Oliveria and a daughter in law: Beth Nunes.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years Joe L. Nunes, four children: Cynthia Silva of San Luis Obispo, Marvalee Nunes English (Stan) of Spreckels, Melanie Lourenco (David) of Turlock and Joel Nunes (Karol) of Visalia. Six grandchildren.
