Waneta Darlene Reed, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Elberta Healthcare in Warner Robins, GA. The visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Services celebrating her life will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 12:00 pm in Andersonville National Cemetery.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088. 

Darlene was born on June 18, 1932 in Greensburg, Kansas to the late John and Elvina (Buller) Ratzloff. She worked as a medical records clerk at Emanuel Hospital in California until her retirement. Darlene loved and served the Lord faithfully. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she sang in the church choir and volunteered with Awanas. She loved to travel to exotic places, which was one of her greatest passions in life. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard E. Reed, Sr. and two brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Diane Squires (Bob) of Cochran, GA, Yvonne Miller (Randy) of Bakersfield, CA and Rick Reed of Arlington, VA; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ruth Weaver of Turlock, CA and Carol Ratzloff of Goshen, IN.
