Cal State Stanislaus senior forward Katie Busi caps off her impressive four-year women’s basketball career as a part of the CoSIDA/Daktronics All-Region second team, it was announced earlier this week.

Busi, who earned three all-conference first team honors during her career, is among five California Collegiate Athletic Association players on the first or second regional teams. This season, she averaged 15.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.4 blocks and 2.4 steals as the Warriors made an appearance in the conference’s postseason tournament.

The CCAA MVP, Reyana Colson of Cal Poly Pomona, was also named the West Region’s Player of the Year. The senior guard was joined on the first team by UC San Diego senior guard Chelsea Carlisle, as Cal Poly Pomona’s Megan Ford and Cal State San Bernardino’s Eisha Sheppard were selected to the second team.

The selections are made by the sports information directors at the region's schools that sponsor women's basketball.
