Dana Taylor started his career as the Stanislaus men’s soccer coach with 11 wins in 2009 after four wins the previous season, as he also set other records along the way. But that won’t be the end of his success story, considering he’s bringing back nine starters for next season as well as a talented new class.
On Tuesday, he announced the signing of eight players, all of which Taylor expects to contribute to success in the coming years.
The list of high school and junior college transfers includes forward Juan Alvarez (Hartnell College in Salinas), forward Daniel Anderson (Sandpoint High in Idaho), midfielder Manuel Avila (West Valley College in San Jose), forward (Chemeketa College in Oregon), defender Kyle Cadigan (Buchanan High in Clovis), goalkeeper Kyle Cerny (Ceres High), goalkeeper Bill Hambelton (Golden West College in Huntington Beach) and midfielder Andres Zamora (Hartnell College).
“This class is loaded with talent and rates up there with the best recruiting classes I’ve ever had as a head coach in my 17 years,” said Taylor, who came to Stanislaus after a successful run at Oregon State. “It will be a pleasure molding this new group of talented players with our current squad. We will bring a brash brand of attacking soccer that will be exciting to watch at Warrior Stadium.”

Stanislaus women's soccer also adds talent
Cal State Stanislaus women’s soccer coach Gabriel Bolton also announced on Tuesday the addition of nine newcomers to the program. All nine will be incoming freshmen.
The Warriors added midfielder Allison Case (Clovis West High), forward Karenee Demery (Harvest Christian High in Merced), forward Allie Dugan (Leigh High in San Jose), goalkeeper Marriah Kessler (Mission Viejo High), defender Emily Relles (Saugas High), forward Alyssa Robles (Vanden High in Fairfield), defender Lauren Thornton (Clovis West), midfielder Janelle Triplett (Heritage High in Brentwood), goalkeeper Morgan Torres-Unger (Ripon High).
