The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its postseason awards recently and the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors are well represented on its lists — for both athletic and academic accomplishments.
On the court, Verena Preikschas is a two-time All-American in both singles and doubles. She finished 19th in the national rankings in solo play, and, together with Katie Eng, the duo is the sixth ranked doubles team in NCAA Division II.
Eng earned her All-American honor as part of that No. 6 ranked doubles duo with Preikschas.
Both Preikschas and Eng also lead a group of Warriors on the academic side of the postseason awards. As a team, the Warriors posted a 3.50 combined grade point average.
Five of the top six Warriors singles players made the grade to receive the scholar-athlete honor, including McKenzy Harden, Lexy Harrington and Erin McGurty.

Cal State Stanislaus is the only West region institution with five student-athletes on the list.
