For the 10th straight year, the Warriors women’s soccer team has secured a spot on the West Region poll. This time, Stanislaus is ranked eighth.
The Warriors are 2-0 after beating Fresno Pacific 1-0 in the season opener and topping Western Oregon 4-0 at Warrior Stadium on Saturday night. Going back to last season, they’re now looking for their fourth consecutive shutout at San Francisco State on Friday at 3 p.m. in their CCAA opener.
“It is always nice to be recognized as a top program,” Warriors coach Gabriel Bolton said about his team’s recent ranking. “However, as a program we don’t really worry about rankings. We just try to take one day at a time and try to improve every time we step on the field.”
