Eagles girls basketball captures sixth straight win

The Turlock Christian High girls basketball team is on a hot streak in the Central California Athletic Alliance, after they captured their sixth straight victory from home on Thursday night with a 62-44 victory over Stone Ridge Christian.

The Eagles are currently just one of two teams that are perfect in the CCAA with a record of 2-0 after the win and 11-8 overall.

Junior Danika Muller led all scorers for TC with a team-high 16 points after shooting 8-for-11 from the field. She added seven rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Eight different players scored for the Eagles while four scored nine or more.

Senior Cameron Swanson finished with 14 points after going 7-for-14 and added eight rebounds, two assists, a pair of blocks and a steal.

During their six-game win streak, TC has held five of those opponents to 44 points or less.

On Thursday, TC knocked down 28 field goals for the game, but made just one shot from three-point range.

The Eagles finished the game with 20 steals and turned the ball over 24 times.

TC will next take on Big Valley Christian (3-0 CCAA) from the Stanislaus State gym at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

 

TC boys top Stone Ridge Christian

The Turlock Christian varsity boys basketball team captured a 65-31 home victory over Stone Ridge Christian on Thursday night.

The win marks the Eagles’ second over the last three games, and was their second CCAA victory.

There are still nine league games left and TC is now 2-3 in the CCAA, sitting tied for fifth with Millennium.

The Eagles will next host Big Valley Christian at Stanislaus State at 8 p.m. Saturday.
