For the third consecutive year, Turlock High basketball coach Doug Cornfoot along with Denair head coach RJ Henderson and California State University, Stanislaus basketball assistant head coach Ben Riley have put together a three-day basketball camp for boys and girls from 9-14 years old beginning Monday.

The camp will teach kids the fundamental skills needed for the game, along with how to be competitive. The camp will be broken down into two sessions with the younger kids on the court from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. while the older kids will be playing from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

"It's an opportunity to get the kids to get some skill work. It gets them out of the house for three days and it's a great activity to do during the summer when hanging out with nothing to do," Cornfoot said. "You can come out and get great instructions and meet new friends; it's a good thing for everyone."

The cost of the camp is $60 and every kid who signs up receives a T-shirt and the full three days of instructions.
