TYF teams take playoffs by storm

Week 11 of the 2013 season saw Turlock Youth Football hosting the first round of playoffs at home. Unfortunately, Rookie 49ers had to travel to Oakdale to take on the Modesto Broncos due to seed placement — but the 49ers brought home a 36-12 win. The Pee Wee 49ers started the day off for TYF by defeating the Manteca Jaguars in a close game with a final score of 13-12.  The JV 49ers saw their season come to an end with a loss of 0-6 to the Merced Bears.  The Varsity 49ers will move into the next playoff round, as they defeated the Los Banos Wildcats 28-22. 

Next week the Conference Championship game for the 49ers will be at held at Modesto Christian High School, where the Rookie 49ers will take on the Atwater Falcons at 1:30 p.m., Pee Wee 49ers will take on the Modesto Broncos at 3 p.m., and the Varsity 49ers will take on the Modesto Broncos at 7 p.m.  Winners of these games will get a spot in the Cen Cal 2013 Super Bowl.

The TYF Vikings traveled to Manteca to play their first round of playoffs, with the Rookie Vikings defeating the Manteca Buffalos 30-12. The Pee Wee Vikings destroyed their opponents, the Buhach Thunder, 42-6.  The JV Vikings shut out the Merced Cougars 24-0, while the Varsity Vikings' season ended with a loss to the Manteca Buffalos 30-6. 

Next week the Vikings will travel to Oakdale to see who moves on to the Super Bowl, with the Rookies taking on the Buhach Thunder at 1:30 p.m., Pee Wee will take on the Ceres Seahawks at 3 p.m. and JV will play the Buhach Thunder at 5 p.m.
