A 44-year-old Turlock man is facing criminal charges after he allegedly put a knife to the throat of a teenager.
The suspect was identified by the Turlock Police Department as Alejandro Romo Morales.
Around 6:44 p.m. Thursday police officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of Lambert Way for a report of a physical fight between a man and a 16-year-old.
According to the police report, Morales was upset the 16-year-old was smoking marijuana. A verbal dispute turned into a physical altercation and at some point Morales picked up a knife and held it to the throat of the teenager, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The teenager did sustain non-life threatening injuries from the altercation, Lewis said.
Morales was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, brandishing a weapon, and felony inflicting corporal injury on a minor.
