A Turlock man was robbed and attacked Saturday night by four men he had previously met online, the Turlock Police Department reported.
The robbery happened around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Pedras Road.
The victim told officers he had been followed by four African-American men who forced their way into his apartment and assaulted him. He said the men robbed him at gunpoint and took marijuana.
"Through our investigation we learned that the victim met these men online prior to the robbery," said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.
The suspects were said to have been wearing red shirts and blue pants. They were driving a vehicle with a Texas license plate and are possibly from there, Parmley said.
The victim did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.
