Investigators with the Ceres Police Department have arrested a Turlock man who they say participated in a Ceres home invasion robbery that occurred in the 1000 block of Winepress Lane early Saturday.

Ronald West, 55, of Turlock, was arrested Tuesday morning in Turlock after detectives identified him as one of three armed men suspected of entering the home through an unlocked back sliding glass door and holding three occupants at gunpoint.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jose Berber said the 25-year-old male homeowner was held at bay with his 13-year-old brother and 15-year-old cousin.

It was reported that the suspects demanded the victim’s cell phone and when he said he didn't have one they searched for and took two television sets. Sgt. Berber said the thieves deliberately shattered a third television set on the floor of a bedroom.

The Ceres Police Department stated one of the suspects was known to the victims.

The break-in was reported at 6:24 a.m.

As the suspects fled the home, the homeowner caught a glimpse of a small red-colored car leaving the area.

Detectives were able to locate and recover one of the television sets that were taken.

West was charged with three counts of felony robbery.
