Homeless man beaten, robbed

The Turlock Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a transient Sunday night.

The police department has identified the suspect as Eric Collins, 30.

Collins allegedly approached the homeless man around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of W. Main Street and started arguing with him.

According to the police department, Collins punched the victim in the face and took a hat-mounted flashlight.

The suspect left the area on his bike.
