Landlord suspected of peeping on renter
police tape

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a suspected case of peeping after a woman found a freshly made hole in her closet.

Investigators suspect the landlord may be behind the peeping but have not released his name.

The hole was made through a maintenance closet into the woman’s bedroom at a home in the 500 block of Angelus Street. The woman first noticed it when she spotted a wire being pulled out of the freshly made hole. The police department described the hole as being made “for the purposes of peeping.”

Officers were unable to locate the landlord and at this time the case is being sent to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office and they will make the determination on whether to prosecute or not.
