A 29-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after Turlock Police received a report of an armed man lurking around a residence.
Around 8:40 p.m. the police department received a call of a suspicious man armed with a handgun, prowling around the garage of a residence in the 100 block of Sunday Drive.
While in route to the area, officers were told the man got in a silver vehicle and left the neighborhood.
Officers stopped the vehicle on Taylor Road and made contact with Miguel Penaloza. He was on active parole and a search revealed he was in possession of .40-caliber handgun.
Penaloza was arrested and booked for felon in possession of a loaded firearm, parole violation, and driving on a suspended driver’s license.
