The Turlock Police Department is investigating a strange kidnapping in which a man was forced at gunpoint to drive two women around town while they ran some errands — at 3 a.m. in the morning.
The man reported to police that he had been asleep in his car in the 400 block of Spruce Street early Friday.
He said two unknown women approached him in his car and asked him for a ride. The man told the women no and it was at that point that one of the women pulled out a gun, according to the police report.
The man said the women ordered him to drive them around town. He said they made two quick stops at two different locations before they ordered him to drive out to the movie theater on W. Main Street.
In the movie theater parking lot the women told the man to put his blanket over his head and not watch them depart. Before doing so, the two women took the man’s cell phone and wallet, according to the police department.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
There were no descriptions of the two suspects.
