A Turlock resident was shot Monday night in what investigators are describing as a targeted home invasion robbery.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound during the encounter with the two suspects.

The attack happened shortly after 10 p.m. Monday at a home in the 400 block of Florence Street.

“We believe that this was a targeted residence and not a random victim,” said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman.

There was an adult woman at the residence during the home invasion robbery, but she was not injured.

The suspects were described as a black male around 20 to 30 years old and a Hispanic man with a large stature.

The vehicle the suspects used was described as a gray Nissan Maxima.
