Police seek identity of robbery suspect

The Turlock Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who robbed an ATM customer by gunpoint.

Detectives are  investigating the robbery that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the ATM next to the Citi Bank, located on Geer Road. The suspect approached the victim from behind displayed a gun and demanded money and the victim complied.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds.

Turlock Police is asking anyone with information regarding the identification of the suspect to contact Detective Paul Inderbitzen at 668-6551.

The police department is also reminding the community to use caution when using ATM machines after hours and to be aware of surroundings.

The Turlock Police Department is an active participant in the Crime Stoppers Program. Callers can leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636 and may be eligible for a cash reward.
