For the second time in two days a Turlock bank has been the scene of a robbery, with the latest suspect absconding with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The latest robbery was reported at 3 p.m. Friday at the Citibank at 2000 Geer Road. On the morning of Feb. 10 a suspect robbed an individual at the ATM outside the same bank.

Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Steve Rodrigues said it was unclear at this point in the investigations if the two robberies are related and as such are being investigated as two separate cases.

In Friday’s robbery the suspect, a black male adult, entered the bank, approached a teller, and demanded cash. The suspect did not display a weapon or make mention of one, Rodrigues said.

The suspect fled the bank on foot.

The robber is described as standing 6 feet tall and was wearing a multi-colored knit cap, a blue and red jacket and blue jeans.

The suspect from the Feb. 10 robbery remains at large as well. In that robbery the suspect approached the victim from behind and displayed a gun. The suspect demanded cash and the victim complied.

The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 20s, standing about 6 feet tall and wearing 180 pounds.

Anyone with information about the Feb. 10 robbery or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Paul Inderbitzen at 668-6551.

Anyone with information on the Friday robbery is asked to contact Detective Brandon Bertram at 668-5550 ext. 6623.
