Student arrested for assault

A 17-year-old Turlock High School  student was arrested Thursday morning on allegations he tried to hurt an individual with a chair.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. at the Turlock High School campus.

The 17-year-old threw a chair with the intention of trying to hurt an individual, according to the Turlock Police Department. The teenager also made threats to harm the individual.

The 17-year-old was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorist threats.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
