A man died from injuries he sustained when he was struck by a train Tuesday morning in Turlock.
The name of the deceased has not been released, pending identification and next of kin notification. Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Parmley said the deceased may have been a homeless individual.
It's not known at this time what the man was doing just prior to being struck by the train. He was pronounced dead at the scene six minutes after the arrival of emergency personnel.
The collision was reported at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Tuolumne Road and Golden State Boulevard.
