Two robbers hit downtown bank

The Turlock Police Department is on the hunt for two men who pulled off a daytime robbery of a downtown bank Thursday.

No injuries were reported from the robbery at the US Bank at 427 E. Olive Ave. The robbery was reported at 12:20 p.m.

The two men entered the bank wearing masks over their faces and demanded money from the tellers. There was one customer in the bank at the time, Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis said.

Investigators have not said if any weapons were used in the robbery. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled before officers arrived at the scene.

Both suspects were described as African-American men in their 20s.

The first suspect stood about 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed approximately 180 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a white bandana over his face, dark blue jeans and white gloves. Additionally, he was described as having dark brown eyes and a deep voice, Lewis said.

The second suspect was about 5 feet, 20 inches tall and weighed around 190 pounds with a stocky build. He was wearing a dark-colored ski mask or dark bandana over his face with a dark-colored beanie knit cap, a gray colored sweatshirt, a white shirt beneath the sweatshirt, blue jeans and white colored shoes and dark-colored gloves. Additionally, he was described as having dark brown eyes.
