There are just three more weeks and counting until the renovations at Joe Debely Stadium will be complete and ready just in time for the first football game on Aug. 27. The Turlock Unified School District Board of Trustees took a tour of the almost complete stadium on Tuesday to view the recently finished football field. The artificial turf field is already set up for some football games with everything installed with the soccer and football lines already painted. Installation of the all-weather track will begin today is expected to take a couple of weeks. New goal posts were also installed along with the flag pole and the scoreboard, which will soon be painted a neutral black color to spruce it up. The Americans with Disabilities Act compliant bleachers are expected to be finished by the end of the week with handicap seating and ramps on both sides of the stadium. Grounds are set for two ADA complaint bathrooms that will be dropped in through cranes to be placed at the one and only entrance for the stadium located off of E. Marshall Street. The main entrance and ticket booth areas are also starting to build up. Everything is on time and should be done by Aug. 17.
