THS Science Olympiad team headed to NorCal Finals

The Turlock High School Science Olympiad team qualified for the Northern California finals after coming in second place in the regional competition on March 11. The THS team took first place in four events at the regional competition — Cell Biology, Dynamic Planet, Experimental Design, and Forestry — and placed in eight other ones.

The Pitman High Science Olympiad team placed first in the Scrambler event and placed in the top five of 14 other events. The first place overall high school team was from Gregori High School. Turlock placed second overall, followed by Modesto High and Enochs High. The top four teams will all move on to the NorCal finals.

The NorCal Finals event is scheduled for April 22, tentatively at Stanislaus State.
