Sixth grade students at Cunningham Elementary School spent Tuesday studying and making their own representations of Vincent van Gogh’s famous Sunflowers. The art instruction was made available to Cunningham students through the Arts in the Classroom program, funded by the Kiwanis Club of Turlock and offered through the Stanislaus County Arts Council. Cunningham fifth graders took part in the art classes in March, but their focus was on clay instead of painting.
