Joe and Cathie Bernardi along with their sons Jared and Dylan present an $8000 check to Nancy Daley and Erin Nelson of Jessica's House.  The money was raised during the Bee Positive 5k Walk/Run held a month ago in honor of their daughter Kayla Bernardi who passed away from leukemia. "Jessica's House was going to be Kayla's first volunteer position after she graduated" said Joe Bernardi. "Not knowing a month later she would be diagnosed with leukemia and 8 months later we would be needing the services Jessica's House provides, it's just an invaluable resource we have here in the Turlock community."  The Bernardi family decided to present the check to Jessica's House on a day with special meaning, the one year anniversary of Kayla's passing. "We decided we'd Bee Positive, stay with Kayla's theme, that's the way she lived her life and contribute back to the community, but really it's the community giving back to Jessica's House by the proceeds of the run that we had over 700 participants help the Kayla Bernardi Bee Positive Foundation."  The Bernardis also encouraged the community to wear pink Tuesday in honor of Kayla's Bee Positive attitude.
