Turlock High’s Cole Carrigg and Pitman High’s Kade Morris made things officially official this week as they each signed professional contracts to play baseball after being selected in the MLB Draft earlier this month.

Morris, who was selected out of the University of Nevada by the New York Mets with the 101st overall pick in the third round of the draft, signed for a full slot value of $666,500 on Saturday at Citi Field in Queens, New York.

Meanwhile, Carrigg, who was selected 65th overall out of San Diego State University by the Colorado Rockies as a supplemental second round pick, inked a deal for $1.3 million on Monday in Denver, Colorado. The figure is $115,900 more than the projected slot value of $1,184,100.

Both players are represented by Paragon Sports International.

With their contracts signed, both Turlockers are now official members of their respective organizations and will soon report to their club’s developmental facilities.
