The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office announced earlier this week that investigators had seized more than 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine product, hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and multiple firearms following what officials described as a large‑scale meth conversion‑lab investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit said the operation uncovered approximately 1,000 pounds of potential methamphetamine production material, 100 pounds of finished methamphetamine, $730,000 in cash and eight firearms. Because of the size and scope of the case, three suspects have been federally charged, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California has taken over prosecution.

Authorities did not release the town or specific location where the conversion lab was found, citing the active nature of the investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office said the case was the result of cooperation between multiple agencies, including the Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit, Kern County HIDTA, the FBI and the DEA.

No additional details are being released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
