For watercolor artist Carol Goff, inspiration is often as close as her own garden. An avid gardener as well as a painter, Goff finds many of her subjects in the flowers, plants, and landscapes that surround her Calaveras County home.

This September, Goff’s watercolors will be featured alongside the colorful fused and stained glass of Dean Urone in the Arts of Bear Valley Window Gallery at Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold. Their work will be on display and available for purchase through the end of the month.

Sunflowers are a particular favorite for Goff, who says their bright, sunny faces make her smile. Her paintings reflect her love of the natural world; from the things she grows herself to the landscapes and beauty of the surrounding area.

Joining Goff in the Window Gallery is local artist Dean Urone, who works in both fused and stained glass. Long fascinated by historic glassmaking techniques, including those used during California’s Gold Rush era, he now explores the possibilities of glass through fused pieces and stained-glass panels.

The Arts of Bear Valley Window Gallery is made possible through window space generously donated by Meadowmont Shopping Center. The gallery gives Arts of Bear Valley artists a place to exhibit their work where it can be enjoyed by the community throughout the year.
