Parkinstock: The 2025 Parkinstock: Music for a Cure event will be held May 2 and 3 at Blaker Brewing, 1063 Montclaire Dr. in Ceres. This family-friendly free event is a fundraiser for the Michael J. Artist reception: A free reception celebrating the opening of the Carnegie Arts Center’s newest lobby exhibition, Farms & Fields, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 2. Farms & Fields is an annual juried exhibition that celebrates the variety and importance of agriculture in the Central Valley. The Carnegie is located at 250 N. Broadway, Turlock.

Cinco de Mayo parade: The South Modesto Business association will host a Cinco de Mayo “Day of the Battle of Puebla” Parade starting at 11 a.m. on Crowslanding Road. For more information, call (209) 566-2300.

May the Fourth: Celebrate May the Fourth Be With You day from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 4 in the 10th Street Plaza in downtown Modesto with live music and Star Wars themed vendors. At dusk, there will be a massive light saber battle!
